This is really bugging me. I went to a bridal shower yesterday, and they did this sort of Mad Libs game. (Mad Libs - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) One person asks the other for parts of speech and fills in the story with them. It can be quite funny, because the person giving the parts of speech doesn't know the jest of the story.

I was parred with a women whom I know partially, and I was asking her "give me a noun" "give me an adjective" "give me a verb". This woman was a bit older than I and has two very bright d's who received college scholarships to prestigious schools She kept responding with "what's a noun?" "what's a verb?" Blew me away how an adult could not know these things. I know these days they don't teach kids to diagram sentences anymore, but how can anyone not know this?

Is it just me? Do you all know these things?
