I have PCOS (prior to going on Depakote).
The only thing I've had happen is I've had a CYST burst - my ovary was completely fine. It hurt like a son of a gun - crippling pain - like I was in labor - but it was just the cyst that burst, not the actual ovary.
As others have said, PCOS does not mean you'll lose an ovary.
