(So you think you spend more time sleeping than you actually do).
I'm wondering whether going to sleep might be the trigger for switching...
Dysthymia / depression can result in the desire to sleep all the time too...
Do you get much exercise?
I'm wondering about the exercise because exercise stimulates endorphins (the bodys natural opiates) which help one feel more awake...
