There is such a thing as a professional intervention that sometimes work. It worked with my Dad.

Other than that there is not much. Don't enable them, don't cosign their BS, don't bail them out. Basically let them suffer the natural consequences of their actions. You can refuse to be a part of their lives but don't expect that to change them.

Main thing is to take of yourself as sewerrats said.

Klonopin .5mg twice a day, cutting this back
