Getting certified means certified under the mental health act where i live. It means involuntary hospitalization. If you are a nurse and you are certified you get reported to the regulatory body for nurses, and they open a disciplinary file. They forced me off work for 6 months, so i lost my job. Then they made a condition of me getting my license back that i will be monitored for my mental health for 40 months, which means mandatory and documented pdoc appointments, med adherence, sobriety,,and a bunch of other things. I was on stress leave when i was hospitalized, so i never did anything inappropriate or dangerous at work. It is discrimination against nurses who have mental illness. I have 12.5 months left.
