Your words make so much sense to me. You totally understand what I am going through and that is hugely comforting.

I think with regard to your daughter, you have done the very best thing in bringing her up - to support her in what she wants to do and see her happy. That is exactly what a loving mother should do, in my opinion, and I think you should feel very proud for that. I wish I had had a mother like that. You are a very warm, caring and wise person.
