When I first started with T about 7 years ago she used my name at least once in every session. She used my full first name even though I am pretty sure in my first session I mentioned that everybody calls me by my nickname. It made me uncomfortable. At about my 5th or 6th session I told her that the only time I was every called my full name was when I was in trouble as a child so please call me by my nickname. She was very happy to do so. Over the years she lessened how often she used my name during a session. Now she rarely uses it.
