That is actually good news I think. At least it explains what has been going on. You can just take synthroid and once they get the dose right you should feel much better. My Mom has been taking sythroid for many years. Sometimes they adjust her dose a little bit. My 21 year old niece just found out she has hypothyroidism. It was a big relief for her because they had spent years trying to figure out what was wrong. I don't know why in the hell they didn't test her thyroid first thing. She has had some trouble getting the dose right but is doing 100% better. Hypothyroidism can cause depression.
