Hi kneehole, just because people haven't been in touch with you doesn't necessarily mean that they don't care. Sometimes people who haven't been "where you're at" might not completely understand or just might not know what to say. So they can keep their distance, and for some people it can as much be that they feel helpless, powerless to help or they're afraid of saying the wrong thing.
So perhaps keep in touch with them, even if you aren't in contact so frequently, and let them know how important they are and how they are helping you/how they can help you.
And you know that you can let your feelings out on here as well, you're not alone, and we are here for you.
