I'm a practicing Roman Catholic. The RCs are experts on demons and exorcism. People can get possessed, but this is extremely rare. Some RC priests are specially trained in demonology and how to perform exorcisms. Before a priest is allowed to perform an exorcism the client is given a complete psych workup and more often than not, the person has a mental illness. That said, if you have concerns (because I don't know your situation) try to find a Roman Catholic priest to talk to. He may be able to put your mind at ease.
