I finally got in to see the neurologist my pdoc referred me to. I have been very absent minded and have been losing time. I find myself to be someplace and not remember how I got there or why I went there in the first place. I was blaming this on my meds which the neurologist said was possible but he also said we should consider early onset Alzheimer s. This was very upsetting to me. I'll be 48 in a few week. I'm going to go to a different doctor to get a second opinion in 2 weeks. In the meantime I'm stopping my meds and I'll see if my cognition gets any better. I know stopping my meds might not be the best idea but I'm hopeful that it won't throw me into a manic episode. If it does I guess I will start taking my meds again.
