I was also scared before taking anti depressants.

For me, the experience was almost like someone turned the volume down on my emotions.
At first I thought that I couldn't feel anything... But after a couple days the feelings were there but at like 30% ... Not sure if that makes sense or if others experience the same.

So not so scary once I went on them. Only bad part is that it cuts of the happy feelings as well as the sad.
