I had anxiety and depression before I got PTSD along with being on the autism spectrum, having that causes problems of its own makes the depression and anxiety worse and makes some of the not so pleasant aspects of the autism worse like sensory issues, executive functioning and difficulty processing things mentally. I have been confronted with some mental health professionals who think having already had anxiety over-rules the PTSD but that's not true since already having anxiety problems can make one more prone to getting PTSD when exposed to trauma.
Can't say I've ever been suicidal just because of the PTSD, I think other factors do play a role to but that is a large part of it.
