Neighbors (we live in a suburb) are cutting down a Huge old tree. It is taller than any of the houses. They have been working on this, with a chainsaw for over 2 months, the husband & wife. They saw & saw from 4:00 until about 8 pm on weekdays and all day Sat/Sunday. I can't hear my TV or music. Other neighbors have asked them "how long is this going to go on?" They just laugh & say "who knows?" Our city has noises ordinances but only if the noise goes on after 10 pm. I have not been able to do grocery shopping due to the loud noises (kids screaming, grocery cart wheels so loud) & am glad that my husband does this. But to have to be tortured in my own home is awful. I had to quit working due to seizures in 2007 (my neurologist insisted I quit work & quit driving). So we do not have the money for me to go out more than once a week for coffee with friends. So that's not an option. It's 2 miles to the library. I love the library but some days that is just such a long way to walk. Any ideas?

This is my view on my situation, which might help you out so you know that you are not alone. I suffer from Bipolar I with mixed episodes and OCD. I believe that when I go into a manic state some of the OCD comes out which makes me sensitive to sounds. I can't stand certain peoples voices, and other noises. When this happens I feel it building in my chest and I just want to scream at the top of my lungs because I am so irritated. I believe the chainsaw would drive anyone to madness. Do you have issues with other certain sounds?
