Thanks for asking. I am also alive - survived T this morning (thank you to all pocket riders

A couple of weeks ago I read Kate Atkinson's latest,
Life After Life. Really good novel. I like Atkinson's books and this is probably th best one she's written. It is about a woman who lives her life several times - she doesn't know it, she's not born with the knowledge that she's been there before, but she gets a lot of deja vu sensations, and the way different scenarios are played out differently based on chance or choice is really interesting and well-written. Right now I'm reading a fantasy series by an author called Mike Shevdon, and I like these books a lot, too. He writes fantasy set in contemporary Britain, with a lot of British folklore interwoven - very dark and realistic books, but not hopelessly so. I get Neil Gaiman vibes, though Gaiman is more ruthless (and a more polished writer - Shevdon has only published four novels so far, but he writes really well I think.)
