It is crazy how long it takes to get in to see a pdoc.
At least your boss is understanding.
My last company was understanding and sympathetic but after missing a certain amount of time they fired me. Their hand was really forced due to the pressure on that job and i don't really blame them. they had to replace me. huge pressure to meet deadlines.
