Hello!
Since so many BP's (and those with other disorders) are artistically gifted, I was hoping there are other serious writer's who may want to chat. I am looking for those who have already written a novel or two and would like to talk about agents, quiries, genre's etc.
Though I have mentored and taught other writer's, that is not what I'm looking for now. Nor am I seeking a crit partner. Just someone who has heard the calling, has the gift and is perhaps looking for a friend who is in the same place.
I've written five-two are on the shelf forever. The other three are sci-fi fantasy romance, a paraormal romance with time travel, and a portal (or alternate world) fantasy romance. These three need some work, but mostly a final edit on two of them. My strengths are characterization, world building, story arc, strong and lyrical dialogue and research.
I spent a year in the study of quiries and they are fairly easy for me now.
As for the dreaded synopsis, I still struggle a bit but know my way around the seven major plot points. Though I mainly write by the seat of my pants, I also outline (roughly) take copious notes, make sketches and story board. And write detailed character profiles, of course.
I've just begun my sixth and it is different than anything I've ever written. I am doing a literary memoir told in a series of interlocking stories that do not follow a linear time pattern.
If you understand the terminology, then you are probably the kind of writer who would enjoy a friendship with someone who is on your own level. Genre is not important to me, so whatever you write, send me a PM so we can talk.
Cheers! Tea&Sympathy
If there are other writer's out there who are looking for a tutor, a mentor, an editor or a crit partner-please do not ask. At this point in my career I cannot take time away from my own work but I wish you the best of luck.
