Newtus - I think Sometimesp is right about that. I don't know for sure, but based on my experience working in a (regular) hospital, patients who are discharged from the hospital are ALWAYS told to follow up with their regular doctors. It's kind of like a hand-off of care. If we don't do that, then we could get in trouble if the patient went home and their medical condition worsened.
I'm wondering if your visit with this new psychologist is proof that you are compliant. I think it would be. Especially since you are now going to see a clinical psychologist, not just an LPC. So I think it looks like you are taking special precautions - increasing the level of care you are getting, as opposed to being noncompliant.
