This is interesting. I guess we could all agree that, in all spheres of human life, understanding changes everything. So why single out mental illness & addiction & then lump them together? I'm surprised they didn't also include mass murder & serial killing. These also typically get thrown into the mental illness basket. It seems like the tendency nowadays is to chalk any behavior society abhors up to mental illness.
