It completely drained me. Even though he wasn't my friend. He's still sad(I know it feels, it sucks),& still thinks about death, but sing at high risk right now.
My friend started telling him to "just be happy,& enjoy", stop being so negative,be carefree, love life.Stop being so sad. Ugh, it annoys me, she thinks people can just always be happy.

I think it is important that you understand that mentally demanding situations can be just as exhausting as physical actions. It essentially doesn't matter that it wasn't your friend while you care about your actual friend. Since you care about your friend and her health is dependent on this friend's friend then it's not so strange that you get these reactions.. Additionally... it's mentally demanding just to witness a persons death even if you don't know him/her...good thing you didn't have to.
If you can... it would be great if you could try to explain this "you can't just be happy and forget about everything bad" thingi. It's a whole science about depression and it wouldn't be a thing called depression if you could just break out of it with sheer will. It isn't that hard to find an internet source or book about mental health stating this.
But don't let it get to you if she doesn't grasp your point... some people just can't understand it ..at least not immediately...
