You're right -- you sure don't need mania thrown in the mix(!) PRN question… don't know. Not sure that really matters though, at least definition-wise. The main thing of course is to sleep. It's absolutely critical to keep mania at bay. I don't take Seroquel, so can't comment on that. Personally, I "change it up" when it comes to sleep aids. Maybe that is an option for you? Ideally, not to have to take anything, of course. (Which is a big haha, atm for me too). When something is needed, I go with what will be required to do the job, by assessing how big the gap is between my energy level and sleep. Then choosing accordingly. If Seroquel is what it's going to take, then Seroquel is what it would be. I think your T is totally right -- slow down and sleep. And take the meds prescribed for you.

Remember to employ all those non-med sleep habits of course too. Something I find very helpful are earplugs. (Meds or not.) Brings down the input level --my brain's noisy enough as it is, you know? (Bet you do!)
