The only thing I didn't like about Cigna is the hospital I will never step foot in again is part of their network. At least for MH. They could be great for other things. I don't know. They have ancillary office too where I did dbt and I hate them too. I saw so much irresponsible care with friends and other patients. If the entire office would retire it might get better but I am not waiting for that. Some are in their 70s. If it wasn't for that they would be high on my list.
Alas it is all moot until October. My company wasn't honest about being able to use aca. They should have said "may be able to". When I called the state exchange they said no. The life event only works if they dropped it completely or the price is more that 10% of my income. Except my job is contract so really I don't know how much I will make until the end of the year. The others don't apply.
The truly bizarre part is even if it was 10% I still wouldn't qualify for the stupidest reason. I already had to have an account. But you can only sign up for an account during open enrollment. Why would I sign up for an account if I think I have insurance?
My advice? Everyone should get an account in October. You just don't know if you will need it.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback. I will be using this info in October.
