If you complain about tension, then what does she think you are holding back about? Maybe the tension is undefined? I mean, i dont see why she didnt just try to get more detail about the tension, if she thought that was how you were expressing it, instead of getting kind of judgy at you about it. Her job should be to draw these feelings out of you, not to make you more tense.
