Hi all, im writing here to get some specific info on asperger's syndrome about the amount of stimulation you guys need/can handle. I was diagnosed with very high functioning asperger's syndrome with a kind of unique problem where the negative part of my mind is very strong, and my negative thoughts also, mostly on the subconscious level it seems tho. This unique problem gives me massive anxiety, at a very high level. Theres a kind of disruption in the flow of my thoughts (from what my psychiatrist said) where the positive/personality part of my thoughts arent connecting 100%. Anyway im gonna get to the point or i would write for pages.

My whole life i suffered alot from bulliying in school which contributed heavily to my current condition today. Now, i eventually got a kind of psychosis or disorganisation of thoughts(once again my pd told me its something like that),
that happened 5 years ago however when it happened i didnt have any hallucination/voices or anything like that which makes me think it was more a complete disorganisation of my thoughts.

Now, before i got sick i never had anxiety until just before it happened(its a long story but i spoke to a psychologist before all this disorganisation event happened and i felt anxiety accumulating during that time) and almost evrything was pretty normal. I didnt know i had aspergers since around 3 years ago. Basicly, even my 5 senses were just as acute as anyone else(neurotypical or not) but for some reason after i got sick my senses get more or less acute (depending when im very anxious or not).
Again, before i got sick i didnt have a "limit" of stimulation like i do today, i mean i couldnt get overstimulated or it was almost impossible(i never felt overstimulated in my life until i got my psychosis/disorganisation). So even if i listened to very stimulating music, i spoke to tons of people, and i travelled evrywhere, it changed nothing for me. However, AFTER i got sick evrything changed. It seems i have a "limit" of stimulation i can handle, from what my pd told me people that have aspergers can be understimulated and overstimulated, and finding the right balance, along with raising the amount you can handle by exposure therapy is all you can do for this. Considering what i wrote, what do you guys think of all this?? Can anyone here relate with this stimulation problem? And does it even SOUND like a stimulation problem? im not entirely convinced my pd is right about that.
Thanks for reading!!
