My H and I are having this ongoing discussion about whether it is worth it to insist that people treat you with respect. He walks away from every conflict (except with me and then I get the brunt of his built up conflict stuff because he argues with me over the stupidest stuff). I tend to have very strong boundaries but I don't really fight aggressively over them usually. More often I will simply disengage rather than insist that someone else has to do something a certain way. But I do realize wars would never be won if the revolution was stocked by people like me. I would go to Canada, for example, rather than fight either a war or congress on drafting people.
