For me the meds were actually pretty amazing---I had constant hallucinations and they were immediately cut in half once we found the right med. It was such a relief to be able to turn them off and focus again and sleep again. So I went through and did what the docs wanted etc and now I'm symptom free and off meds for 6 months and they think it won't happen again. Best possible outcome...supposedly the sooner you get treatment the better your chances of a full recovery.
