If you are only working 8 hours do you still get to keep your health insurance? My company had a cut-off in how many hours one had to work in order to get health insurance. When my hours were cut, fortunately my company is privately owned so I worked a deal where I only worked 16-24 hours and yet got to keep my insurance.
If you can save a bit to pay your T out-of-pocket or come up with another arrangement; the changing job scenario might work to your advantage as another health insurance company from other job you'd get to "start over" in number of visits?
It is a hard decision when things stop "fitting" as one is accustomed, what to do about it. I feel like I often held on "too long."
Have you ever looked to see if your school has insurance? Often if you're taking enough credits a semester they have insurance for at least the period of time you're there (or professional associations (in your major) sometimes have health insurance and even as a student you can join and get the insurance).
I had part-time jobs for 10+ years (in my late-30's, early- to mid-40's) and managed to work them into my resume (with schooling and other projects that I made look like self-employment/"consulting") so I actually looked "good" and got more experience and a broader background, etc. instead of it looking like I was "an unemployable loser." After that period I got the best job of my life which literally used all my interests, skills, and education to the hilt. Now is the time to work on some of your own ideas/projects and/or volunteer in your field for experience and contacts, etc. if you want. "School" covers a lot of sins :-) and getting contacts from volunteer or other part-time jobs or even from online "work" can both broaden your horizons and be helpful in smaller, practical ways. What are you studying Hopefull?
