Not sure if I'm on the right track with your post here, but it sounds to me that you're feeling like I felt in therapy years ago...I was paying on a sliding scale at a lesser rate than those who paid the full amount for their hour. I was being seen late by this psychologist then given short shrift when I was in the sessions. I agonized about it, wanting to complain about the poor treatment. Well, after much discussion with a friend, I concluded that I'd raise the issue with the psychologist as a disgruntled customer as a means of telling him that I deserved compassionate care just like someone that was paying the full amount..and that tactic worked. Part of what I was dealing with then, as now, was depression and being unable to confront people when I was "wronged". In doing that confronting, I became a bit more assertive and a little less depressed...
