I was not treated well by doctors way back in the 1960's you know back then people were label "crazy", "mental", and seemed like nobody cared!!!! But in 1974 with the birth of my last child, I was suppose to have a woman doctor, but she was from India, and a family from India came to the clinic before my appointment with my new born, and I was given a young Jewish Doctor and I Believe to this day THE ALMIGHTY GODHEAD WAS AT WORK for me and my family of now 4 children!!!! He was the most understanding Doctor I had ever had! He noticed right away I was having "pych" issuses! He checked out my new born, then he asked the Nurse to take my 4 children to the playroom! Then he took time to talk to me[I was not like I am today-better, but out of control and highly suicidal] and I told him how this psychologist was treating me, hang up the phone on me, ect.... and he told me he had a friend a Psychiatrist and he loves to help people, he is caring, patient, ect.. and he even offered to be in the room as well if that would make me more comfortable! The Psychiatrist was Jewish as well!!! A week later we met and he was jus as Our New Family Doctor said!!!!! Oh, I was so bad off way back then, I could not be touched in any way: no hand shakes, no hand resting on my shoulder, ect... could not even face anyone when I was spoken to!
I was with this Psychiatrist for 11yrs. before he moved out of state, but he had had 3 of his paitients he gave his new office phone number to! He was a BLESSING to anyone who was under him for care!!!!! But I lost tract of him 15yrs. ago!!!! I am nothing like what I use to be like always out tryng to kill myself, I still have those desires, but THE ALMIGHTY NEVER Let me succeed!
I have no one to talk to anymore, that seems to care, all they want to do is stick you in a mental hospital[and of course when you are poor, it is more like jail, with no caring!] so now I am by myself with no one who cares, no one to talk to how I am feeling inside!!!! So the answer to your question, there are people [Drs. out there that do care, maybe they are just more harder to find!]
I have not found any since Dr. B-----! I was given a name of a Counselor[a woman in CA] when I lived there! It was out of a church in Orville, CA They have a man Counselor for men, and 2 women for women, but if you are thinking thoughts of ending your life they have to 2 women work together with the person!!!! These Counselors are[or should I say was-since I no longer live in CA] and it was so great if you are a Christian they PRAY Before and After the session!!!! You Know as time goes by there has been more understanding of these Mental Problems and I PRAY That You Find Someone who is Caring, Understanding, and Patient as the ones GOD BROUGHT INTO My life!!!!! Whom I miss dearly, because you could be open and honest with them!!!! I will keep you in my PRAYERS!!! MAY THE ALMIGHTY GODHEAD BLESS YOU and KEEP YOU!!!!
