Reviews are scheduled according to how long SS believes your disability should last, based upon all information you and your service providers have submitted as well as reports from their professionals. If they think there is a good chance that you will improve, the time for your review will be short (1-2 years). If they believe there is little to no chance of recovery, reviews will be less frequent (I think this is 5-7 years). They also factor in your age.

Because of the publicity concerning people seen as cheating the system, there may be an enhanced focus on MI disability cases in the future.

I believe the initial SS award letter indicates when you can expect a review.
