in all actuality you are a lil better off with BPD as far as a prognosis, bi polar is mainly caused by chemical imbalances in the brain & can be hereditary..BPD is largely the result of childhood trauma and learned behaviors/responses to stimuli.
neither is a picnic..i can promise you that..i have BPD too and mine is quite severe...there are many different therapies that can be used to help overcome the problem we have..it's not easy and every day is a struggle as we have to completely unlearn everything we have always done.
some days are better than others..but never a dull moment! hang in there and if you can get a really good therapist life gets a lil easier
