I've been struggling with my gender identity for years, and only now have I gotten the confidence to present myself the way I have always wanted to. Even now it's hard to get people to listen and refer to you properly.

It takes a lot of time and patience to even try to tell people that they're misgendering you, because people can get confrontational and ask questions, and it's really unnerving. It's a struggle.

I'm still really shy and nervous about telling people and correcting them.

It takes time to build yourself up, but it feels good when you can finally speak up for yourself. Just keep your head up!
