My condolences on the loss of your dog. We love our pets so much and it's so painful when we lose them. I don't even like to think about losing my cat, Hank, because he truly is one of my best friends. That may sound strange to some people, but I love him dearly. When I was sick, he was the one who was here with me all the time and he brought me so much comfort.
When I was a little girl, my cocker spaniel, Jody, died and of course I was devastated. I told my Sunday School teacher about it and told her that I was happy that Jody was in Heaven now and not in pain anymore... and she told me that animals don't go to Heaven because they don't have souls. Well, that was very upsetting for me. I decided at that point that Heaven wouldn't be as wonderful as everyone had told me it was if animals weren't there too... and I refused to believe that animals don't have souls.
That was my first step towards questioning a lot of the things that my childhood religion preached and over time I rejected that religion. I now have different beliefs and I believe STRONGLY that animals have beautiful, perfect souls and they go to a better, peaceful place when they pass on. The God I believe in loves animals just as much as I do.
So, I believe that your baby girl dog is still with you and watching over you... and her soul is in a beautiful, peaceful place. I hope you find some comfort in that. (((Hugs))) to you.
