I take melatonin when I'm feeling very depressed or anxious and it keeps me awake at night. I like it better than stuff like zquil because it doesn't have lots of chemicals and dyes and stuff its just a natural supplement that your body creates itself, you're just adding a little extra. You can get it at most drug stores and you can take anywhere from 1 to 20 mgs of it. However its recommended you don't take more than 5 mgs in a night because otherwise the excess melatonin will build up in your brain, meaning your brain might stop creating it on its own and you could have lots of problems sleeping. But I'd give it a shot it has helped me and my dad who suffers from the same things so much. I'd also recommend doing some sort of relaxation meditation at bedtime. I do those two things and they work great! I'm a strong believer in natural remedies (of course I realize that isn't always the case thanks to my awesome antidepressant!) but if I were you I'd give these nice natural remedies a shot. And keep your head up take life one day at a time; hell take it a minute at a time that seems to work for me!
