Hi,

Moving out on your own is a life changing experience. Suddenly, I realized, that I could not depend on my parents for food, cooking, bills etc. Overnight, I had to become a responsible adult. It scared me in the beginning, but as time went on those feelings disappeared, because I had proven to myself, that I can live alone. The first night was terrifying. I cried immediately after my mom left and for most of the night. The next day I was okay.

It really helps to have family support. I don't think it would have worked for me if I did not have it. My parents helped me with the transition, by checking up on me to make sure I was eating and so on. I was also given the option of moving back in with them if it did not work out. They stressed this.

Sorry, I don't know of any therapy that can help with this.
