I am so sorry to hear that it did not work out. It is frustrating when things like this happens but you will be in a better place at some point in the future to try again.

I know you mentioned these were free classes but if they were a graded class, call to make sure there is not a withdrawal or dropping process to let them know you will not be attending these. That way it will not affect your record for the future because it will if there is an official need to withdraw or to drop them as opposed to getting bad grades for not attending. Withdrawal or dropping will be better in the long run.
