If you all remember, I posted "Dealing with Alzheimer's and Dementia" in the Caregiver's Support topic and it dealt with my grandmother who had it. Just to let everyone know, she passed away last night.

My mother got a phone call around 9ish saying my grandmother had low respritory and heart rate and she's non-responsive. So my mother, dad, my boyfriend and myself went to visit her in the nursing home. [She was in the Alzheimer's Unit] My grandmother had an oxygen tank hooked up and she would do 3 fasts breaths, then just stop for 2 seconds, then start again. Her head was tilted to the side and her eyes were open and when she would look at us she would just lay there and show no sign she knew we were there. We were there for about an hour and a half and my mother ran my boyfriend and I back to our house since he had to be home soon. After my boyfriend left, I went to bed about an hour later until my mom came home. Ten minutes after my mom got back to the nursing home, she passed away. My mom said it was beautiful and peaceful the way she went.

So, right now, I have a bunch of people over to talk about what they're going to do with my grandmother. With all of this with my grandmother, plus a project and school. The funeral is Wednesday during the day and I'm having my aunt and uncle come in from Texas tomorrow night.
