Just because a T isn't specifically trained for ED, doesn't mean they aren't good at therapy regarding it....maybe you should give her a chance rather than holding onto your preconceived notion that because she isn't a specialist in ED she can't help you.

The psychologist I have not isn't trained with ED either....but she has helped me more with anorexia issues using the DBT skills than the help I was supposedly getting the first time I was treated for anorexia even in the treatment center.

You never know what kind of help they can really provide unless you check her ability out.....then it if you find that she's not capable.....then look for another option....but don't throw away what you have before you in reality check out her ability.

Personally I dislike people trained in ED because they have preconceived notions of what is causing your problem & love to put people into their box that they have already determined people with ED are supposed to be in.
