Hi UM, I'd completely agree with seekersinking, habit, familiarity, you're used to it, your body/mind craving that, addiction. And SI can so easily become addictive. And in the case of an addiction e.g. alcoholism- an alcoholic isn't always going to need a reason for the craving/need to drink such as depression. It's there, it's an addiction.
BUT addictions can be beaten!!!!!
And you haven't cut in days, even fairly recently!!!!!! Now those are real achievements!!! Really!!!!!
But for you...........well you've got really good insight into some of the main triggers to SI and when you're likely to want/need to do it, and that's a great place in working on tackling it.
And yaaaayyyyy for you!!! Riding your motorcycle to work and enjoying it!!!!
