So this is wild but this guy who has been working with us for the last year and recently moved to the Netherlands was totally a scammer...he falsified data in the lab etc...we had no idea until we went to publish and the journal called us out on it. His gels were too perfect...turned out he had been hugely adjusting the contrast as well as cropping etc. Drama in progress we have to fix the figures but I don't know what my boss is going to say to the journal...like we were scammed....I don't think she's planning on telling them...it's totally unreal...one if my thoughts today was I really hope I'm not psychotic again....it's that bizarre...
