Weight gain has always been a deal breaker for me. I told my current pdoc upfront that if it causes weight gain I'm not going to take it(it's part of why I've been off and on so many meds in the past year or so that I've been on here, I'd gain weight and then tell me pdoc to get me the **** off whatever medication it was). I was on seroquel when I was a teen and I weighed well over 200 pounds(and I'm not tall, only 5'3"). It didn't matter how healthy I ate or how much I exercised, the weight never came off until I stopped the med. It sucked.
One of my main reasons for med noncompliance has been weight gain. Now I'm taking Latuda and now I'm actually LOSING weight on it which is a huge relief. I'm a very vain person and I despise how heavy I am right now. I'm doing everything I can to get the weight off(in a healthy way of course).
