Last night, I got up after eating some cheesecake, and I noticed my foot felt funny. I'd only been sitting a few minutes, and I don't think it was in any funny position, but I realized my foot was swollen. I don't think it had been swollen before, but it's possible it was less swollen and I didn't notice, because it's better than it was, and I can't tell so much when I get up, but I can see it's still swollen.
I've had a swollen foot maybe a couple times before, like years ago when I was on my feet for like 15 hours when I worked in a casino, and another time for no discernible reason, but that was months ago.
There's no pain, except last night, while lying in bed, I had a pain shoot up in one spot, every now and then (not steady or too frequently), but it isn't hurting at all now.
I elevated it in bed last night, and it went down a bit, so it didn't feel "fat" when I walked on it after that, but I realized earlier that it was still a bit swollen.
My boyfriend says I shouldn't worry about it, but I've had anxiety about it, because I know I'm a candidate for a lot of problems. I'm worried about blood clots, among other things.
Any idea what might be happening, or if I should be concerned? Thanks.
