Hey scutofwump...you posted this awhile ago but I am going to respond anyway, in the hopes that you will see this. Probably the most regularly occurring symptom for me is the near-constant distortion in reality that I experience. It's very similar to what you've described: things I have encountered all my life are foreign to me, to the point sometimes where they're frightening. The only suggestion I can give you - because meds do not work for me when it's happening - is to ride it out. It does go away, and I experience periods where it's not there at all and I feel more or less 'normal' (my version of normal, anyway), but sometimes it comes back and it'll last anywhere from a few hours to a few days, occasionally a few weeks or months. That said, if you feel like you're better being on meds, it might be worth paying attention to that feeling. Hopefully this is helpful, and you've been finding ways to manage better.
