This is the story of my life. The problem with me though is that I'm a people pleaser, and I don't say that proudly. I don't like anyone being upset or uncomfortable and go out of my way to help them if they are. I'd like to say that I'm a very kind, caring, generous person. Unfortunately I also dislike confrontation and occasionally I'll come across a person that tries to take advantage of my kindness. This'll sometimes result in me rolling over to prevent any altercations.

I've been working on being more assertive because I'm tired of being a pushover. Sometimes I'll find myself backing down when someone tests me, but I'm slowly starting to change. Us kind-hearted people definitely dont deserve to to punished, but unfortunately there are those that will try to mistreat us, so I believe that we have to put a little more effort than usual to prevent ourselves from becoming the world's doormat.
