I have had remission of symptoms due to medications, for as long as three years once and a couple of years at other times. Medications have kept me stable more times than not but it seems most don't work for me for long. But to be honest I can't make it without the antidepressants. I hit bottom really bad without them. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for antidepressants.
