I've wondered (and asked) this same thing. It sure seems like lost people with BP are not stable, and are always changing meds. It scares me. I recently had a bad reaction to 3 days of an antidepressant; it put me into a mixed episode that is so dark, I'm barely making it. My pdoc recently agreed to let me take a drug holiday to see how I do. That also scares me. Feel like I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.
