awwww I think that's answerable then. You're just gonna have to grab your self-confidence with both hands, and smile at her! And btw, the suggestion of striking up a conversation about what she's doing is brilliant! If she's stocking something that you need (or don't, whatever) you CAN walk up to her as a 'customer' and ask her something about it, or the location of something like it or the location of something not at all like it because, "I've seen you here so often, I figure you know the store pretty well, and sometimes I'm totally lost!"...self deprecation when done well, is charming.
