Yep! Though I'm learning how to separate my own emotional feelings for what that person is going through while still being able to be there for me. I also have ptsd, though like you I don't think that's why I'm empathetic. If the situation is something I've gone through myself it's reeeeally difficult for me though and I end up feeling all the feels~~ maybe that's not a bad thing though
If it ever gets too much though it's okay to pull back and regroup
