I've always gotten super obsessed with one topic at a time and spent days upon days researching it nonstop, thinking and talking about it nonstop, and anxious about it. I do this all the time. Right now I have been obsessed with the idea that my cipralex is going to make me become bipolar. I have attributed the racing thoughts and constant talking to the fact I MUST be manic. But I don't have any symptoms of mania otherwise.
I was diagnosed with OCD in 2011. I never really thought much of it.
Another aspect I'm wondering about is, my BPD makes me nervous in relationship, but then I think it must be my OCD that makes me research relationship problems nonstop, and obsess over those, until I create issues that weren't there in my relationship. I assumed it was just the BPD, but maybe not.
I've been on cipralex 16 days. I heard it can take 8+ weeks to start working for OCD.
