My psychiatrist recommended me taking omega-3's and magnesium. They do nothing for my mood but honestly I'd take them anyway just for good health haha! Magnesium helps my sleep and omega helps my skin and probably is good for the insides of my body lol.
I'm also going to start taking sAMe supplements soon (or sam-e...same thing lol) to help the depression though apparently it can possibly trigger manic/hypomanic episodes. If you want to know how it works out for me message me in a months time haha!!
Other supplements that I took that did not work out well for me were: St John's Wort, was good at first but then made me anxious as hell and rapid cycle (same reaction I got from anti-depressants except less severe). Rhodiola rosea: Good for energy levels but I ended up feeling too hyped up on it and agitated.
Sorry I couldn't have been of more help! I'm quite interested in natural/herbal remedies too but so far they tend to either trigger anxiety or hypomania or do nothing
